Most of Japanese do Mochi-tsuki for new year season at the old time, I used to joined to the event for the area community in my hometown. But now, there are very few chances to see and experience them. We are worried about a tradition event of Japan declining. I'm planning to do Japanese traditional way to making rice cake. We will do two or three times to do it, so it will be around 19:00.
This time, old our staff Kuniko will come to help us before her leaving to Washington DC. She makes great movement at Mochitsuki work too.
Special sauce recipe for Mochi from Saito family Grinded Walnuts 300g (In suribachi bowl) Tofu 1 chou Milk 200cc Sugar 80g It is very good with Mochi. In my hometown, we ate it very much.
